Victoria graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Medical Science) from University of Sydney with First-Class Honours in Pathology in 2021. She undertook her honours at the Heart Research Institute’s, Thrombosis laboratory, where she focused on testing novel thrombolytic combinations and elucidating cellular-temporal clot composition to extend therapeutic viability in late stage Acute Ischeamic Stroke. After completing her thesis, she was lucky to continue this and other fascinating projects, as a Research Assistant under Professor Shaun Jackson supervision, where her passion for disease pathophysiology grew into a desire to continue a life in research dedicating to improving patient outcomes.
In 2023, Victoria joined the Stem Cell Medicine Group at Children's Medical Research Institute as a Research Assistant, where she hopes to further develop her repertoire as a researcher whilst having the opportunity to be a part of the teams exciting research projects and industry development. In her time out of the lab Victoria loves spending time at home with her four-legged babies or eating out with friends (pets not usually invited).
