Suzanne Scott’s research focuses on the application of bioinformatic and computational approaches to gene therapy development.
She joined TVRU in 2022, after completing a postdoctoral fellowship in the Transformational Bioinformatics group at the Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation. There she worked on developing bioinformatic methods of detecting viral and vector integration into the human genome.
Her D.Phil. and M.Sc. were completed at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Dr Radu Aricescu and Dr Michael Kohl, in which she solved several structures of GABAA receptors in complex with various modulators by cryo-electron microscopy and X-ray crystallography. During her doctoral studies she also spent two years at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK.
