Edward (Zhongran) Ni is a Biochemistry graduate from the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. He further pursued his academic career by earning a Master's degree with honours in Medical Biotechnology and a PhD in Life Science and Computational Biology from the University of Technology Sydney. Edward's research has primarily focused on leveraging experimental and machine-learning techniques to simultaneously detect protein-protein interactions and cellular signalling pathways activities in relation to human disease and host-pathogen interactions.
Edward joined ProCan at the Children's Medical Research Institute in 2023 as a data scientist. Collaborating closely with his colleagues and external partners, he develops and implements innovative data-driven approaches to tackle complex problems in cancer research. Edward is deeply passionate about making a positive impact on patients' lives by advancing the field of oncology.
