Daniel holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico City. He then completed a Master of Biotechnology followed by a PhD in Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences in Macquarie University in Sydney. His research project focused on the use of proteomics and phosphoproteomics techniques in cellular and animal models of inflammatory conditions and the molecular pathways involved in these processes. He joined CMRI in 2018 as Research Officer where he continues his career in the proteomics field in the context of cancer research.
