Carina Puopolo coordinates ProCan's program of projects. Providing a range of project management strategies and techniques she supports the interdisciplinary teams of cancer oncologists, cancer pathologists, cancer proteomecists, software engineers and cancer data scientists as a strategic partner to ProCan Team Leaders in the execution of the strategic vision of the program.
She supports the cross-functional teams and is responsible the for day-to-day coordination and overall project management of ProCan’s research project activities.
Her functional expertise stems from hands-on process development, project management and implementation over the last 15 years. She has led numerous functional areas that include ICT and business projects in diverse industries such as Retail, Finance, Advisory Services and scientific research projects in Health. Carina has set up international Program Management Offices and implemented governance and process frameworks to support the development of successful teams.
Her main aim is to continue evolving and developing PMO methodologies, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose, are appropriately sized, adopted and understood across the organisation.
Carina is a Public Accountant (CPA) graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina where she achieved the Amartya Sen special mention for being one of 100 Outstanding Youths in Management. She has a Masters in Corporate Finance and Service Science Engineering at University of Salvador in Argentina, has participated in numerous international Management and Coaching training, and has Project Management qualifications.
