Last year we put the focus directly on the reason we do research – to help children who live with genetic disease every day.
Jessica Gowans, mother to Henry and Rosalie, shared her story from the heart about raising two children with a rare condition. She talked about her fears that one day both children could have heart and nerve damage, or that they could go blind, but she was forever grateful for people who supported research.

Thanks to the support of our partners, the Denim Dinner is helping Children’s Medical Research Institute improve the future of children and their families everywhere.
We’re proud to call them our partners and are inspired by their generosity.
For decades, Cure Cancer Australia has supported many CMRI scientists working to develop new treatments for all types of cancer affecting both children and adults.
Cancer Council NSW and Cancer Council Australia are major funders of CMRI's cancer research programs, through fellowships for our scientists and project funding for initiatives like ProCan.
The Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) is a major funder of CMRI's work, with over $14 million donated to equipment, which has enabled us to create the ACRF Cancer Research Centre at CMRI.
