Racquet Committee
Established in 1991
The Racquet Committee of CMRI originated from the Springtime Committee when three young married women and ex-nurses joined. In 1991, there was a diverse group of 20 tennis players which prompted the committee to change its name to the Racquet Committee.
The committee holds many events during the year, including annual card days, which attract a full house of 200 people, theatre productions, and Melbourne Cup Day is celebrated in a private home for 80 guests with a home-cooked luncheon.
Our group is proud to have welcomed grandchild number 100! We feel so grateful these youngsters and the others that will follow can look forward to a potentially happy, healthy and successful future with the superb ongoing research by the CMRI team.
